Maria Lintott works from her studio in Hertfordshire, making precise sculptural paper cuts to create dynamic mixed media artworks.
Intrigued by the natural world & the symbolism behind it, Maria handstitches sculptural birds, butterflies, dragonflies & botanical elements using vintage papers.
Designing each element & using repetition to capture a sense of rhythm & movement. She has developed this technique, hopefully drawing the viewer in, creating a sense of calm.
Maria studied Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins gaining a 1st Class Degree, followed by her Masters at Royal College of Art.
